If a battery is likely in the next few years, the solar design should not paint you into a corner. That is the point of the solar + battery page. If you only want panels now, we still note inverter and board choices that keep the door open.

How long does a residential assessment take?
A first written response can follow a complete enquiry in a small number of business days. A site visit, if needed, is booked from there. Timelines depend on access and how complete the bills and photos are.
Do I need to be home for a roof assessment?
Not always. Clear photos, a recent bill, and the inverter or switchboard location are enough to start. Some roofs still need someone on site.
