A household battery shifts energy through time. On this network it is usually asked to cover the evening, hold a few circuits in a dropout, or both. It is not a personality upgrade for the switchboard.

Questions people actually ask
How big should a home battery be?
Sized to the evening you actually run, and to the solar that can refill it, not to a round number in an ad. Oversizing storage you cannot fill is a common way to waste money.
Will a battery take my house off the grid?
Not unless you asked for an off-grid design, which is a different project. Grid-connected storage is the usual path here.
